Better Posture with the Cush Cushion

May 26, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This post is sponsored by Cush Comfort and US Family Guide. I was provided a product and compensation in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own!

If you are anything like me and find yourself sitting for long periods of time then you know what kind of pain your back and legs can have. Since I work from home and am often sitting at a desk working on my desktop I have discovered that I am not always exhibiting the best posture. While I am deep into work editing images, writing a post or listening to a webinar I may not notice the pain but as soon as I get up oh boy!

Better Posture with the Cush Cushion

I will admit that my current work space is at a desk in our daughter’s room with a fun purple patio style chair and not an adjustable desk chair. I dreaded the first few weeks that I began working in this location for the extreme back pain later in the evening. I quickly realized how bad my posture must have been to have such an aching back. I was trying to use a few pillows and a flat stuffed bunny as my posture correction.

Sloan Museum Flint, MI

May 11, 2016 By Thaleia 1 Comment

This is a post created on behalf of Sloan Museum who provided us free admission for our honest review! No compensation was given and all opinions are our own.

We recently had the privilege of visiting Sloan Museum in Flint, Michigan. We were in the Flint area for a funeral and contacted Sloan Museum on our way up via Facebook. They were super responsive and very friendly. We love finding hidden gems when we travel and Sloan Museum offers just that!

Sloan Museum is part of the Culture Complex in Flint with an art museum, theatre, and planetarium all within walking distance. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to explore all of those properties.

Sloan Museum should be on your MUST DO in FLINT list #puremichigan @something2offer.comsloanmuseum

Tips For Visiting a Butterfly House

March 25, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Have you ever wondered some tips for visiting a butterfly house? We went last year to the Butterfly House at Perry’s Cave and Family Fun Center on Put-In-Bay, Ohio. This particular house did not have native butterflies but some very exotic tropical species.

New Tween Girls Book Series Called Glimmer Girls

March 21, 2016 By Thaleia 8 Comments

Shop now at Columbia.com!

My daughter is a typical 11 1/2 year old girl who just so happens to love a great book. When she found out that we had the chance to review the first two books in the Glimmer Girls series she was very excited. I am sure that she will be telling all her friends in our various homeschool groups all about these books. I can see this series making it’s way into my nieces birthday present bags in the near future.

New Tween Girls Book Series

If you are looking for an engaging wholesome read then give Glimmer Girls by Natalie Grant a chance.

In London Art Chase, the first title in the new Faithgirlz Glimmer Girls series, readers meet 10-year-old twins Mia and Maddie and their adorable little sister, LuLu. All the girls are smart, sassy, and unique in their own way, each with a special little something that adds to great family adventures.

There is pure excitement in the family as the group heads to London for the first time to watch mom, famous singer Gloria Glimmer, perform. But on a day trip to the National Gallery, Maddie witnesses what she believes to be an art theft and takes her sisters and their beloved and wacky nanny Miss Julia, on a wild and crazy adventure as they follow the supposed thief to his lair. Will the Glimmer Girls save the day? And will Maddie find what makes her shine?

Join twins Mia and Maddie and their sidekick little sister, LuLu, as they travel the country finding adventure, mystery, and sometimes mischief along the way. Together with their famous mother, singer Gloria Glimmer, and their slightly wacky nanny Miss Twist, the sisters learn lessons about being good friends, telling the truth, and a whole lot more.

In A Dolphin Wish a three-night stop in the city of San Diego seems like it might be just the break the girls need—lovely weather and great sights to see. That is until they hear animal handlers at “Watery World” talking about the trouble they’ve been having keeping the animals in their habitats. Mia and her sisters cannot resist a challenge and they talk Miss Twist into another visit to the educational amusement park to search for clues as to what or who is helping the animals escape.
