Our Favorite Children’s Bibles and Kids Devotionals

December 6, 2014 By Thaleia 7 Comments

If you are like me then you still have some Christmas shopping to do! I am wanting to stretch my dollar as well as give a meaningful gift. I think a children’s Bible or kids devotional would make for a life impacting present. We do own quite a few baby, toddler, and preschool Bibles and story books which are very nice. I am highlighting gifts as part of a blogger program through Family Christian stores.

Childrens Bibles

I have four children and four nieces whom I could buy either a Children’s Bible or Devotional item for Christmas or birthdays. Family Christian stores offers a wide selection of books and Bibles from reputable publishing companies such as Bethany House,  Thomas Nelson, Tyndale, and Zondervan.

Christmas in the Barn Kid Made Nativity Ornament

December 1, 2014 By Thaleia 9 Comments

We thought long and hard about what book we would choose as part of the 10 Days of Kid-Made Christmas Ornaments blog hop. We decided to choose one of our favorite authors, Margaret Wise Brown. We love and own a few of her books  like Big Red Barn but this time we choose Christmas in the Barn. I have partnered with a wonderful group of Kid Bloggers to bring you ten incredible days of easy to make ornaments. All links within this post are affiliates or point you to some other posts of great interest.

Fun and Simple Christmas Gifts Kids Can Make

November 20, 2014 By Thaleia 19 Comments

This is week 6 already of  Becky from FranticMommy and myself series called #HolidayMoney! We’ve talked about all sorts of ways to make and save money for the Holidays. I hope you have had time to check each post out and try some of the unique and creative tips!

Kid made Christmas

Kids loving making things and what better time to make gifts than Christmas. Finding fun and simple Christmas gifts can be as easy as a Google search or time spent on pinterest.
My children are of various ages and skill level when it comes to crafts, sewing, and creating their own presents. I imagine that even Lil’ Red will be “put to work” making Christmas cards or an ornament via some scribbles on paper or a thumbprint or two.
