If you are like me then you still have some Christmas shopping to do! I am wanting to stretch my dollar as well as give a meaningful gift. I think a children’s Bible or kids devotional would make for a life impacting present. We do own quite a few baby, toddler, and preschool Bibles and story books which are very nice. I am highlighting gifts as part of a blogger program through Family Christian stores.
I have four children and four nieces whom I could buy either a Children’s Bible or Devotional item for Christmas or birthdays. Family Christian stores offers a wide selection of books and Bibles from reputable publishing companies such as Bethany House, Thomas Nelson, Tyndale, and Zondervan.

Math, oh the dreaded subject among many students, parents, and teachers. For some all the numbers and processes seem endless. For other’s they LOVE numbers and math. (I fall into the LOVE Numbers category but not so good at teaching it sometimes!)
So what is a parent to do when their child isn’t thriving and is completely struggling? Where can they go to find free Math resources to try?
Right here on Something 2 Offer! I am striving to find free resources for each subject that is traditionally encountered throughout K-12. I already did a free resource for Handwriting, Copywork, and Writing, WWII Resources, Literature Resources for Great Classics which many parents have thanked me for. So glad I could help. Math was the next topic that a parent requested. So here goes!

I do not have an art degree and never took art classes beyond the required 8th grade art class. I even got a C in Art in Elementary because my teacher was looking for talent instead of grading on instruction and effort. This really left me with a negative view of art although I have always been very creative. I never learned about Famous Artists, Art Periods, Techniques, or all the fun that art truly can be! What could be better than free art lesson resources?

My children exhausted all the art dvd’s from our local library. It was very nice to set-up the laptop or tablet with a video, lay out all their materials , and let them be free to “have art class”. The only problem was they wouldn’t STOP after one lesson! Oh, no they wanted to finish the entire dvd! Since there is an interest in art I figured I better find more free resources to hone in and sharpen their talents in areas like shading, sketching, perspective, and proper use of materials.
You can learn about ART with a variety of free art lessons from all over the internet! You can learn from home. You can teach your children or you can facilitate a group of children or friend’s while you all take an art adventure together.

Yes, it’s Summer but that doesn’t mean learning get’s shelved with the curriculum books. There are a handful of great places you can get free homeschool curriculum ideas. I know you are thinking, “But I don’t have time to learn a new curriculum or to set something involved up!” Don’t worry these are quick and easy solutions to your learning dull-drums. Some you can sign-up for their newsletter so you are sure to not miss a single lesson or idea. I have used all of these resources for myself or to help refer other families so their curriculum can get spiced up a bit.
Remember sometimes a change in pace or type of learning is all you really need to ignite your child’s passion for learning again. (I will be taking my own advice and trying some new things with my kids this Summer as well!) Be sure to bookmark these sites, pin them, or share on facebook so other families can find these valuable resources!
