DIY Romantic Hair-do’s for Valentines Day

DIY Romantic hair-do's

Who has the time or money to spend at a hair salon? I know I do not and anyone with a handful of kids would not want to bring them along. I rarely do anything special with my hair and I hate having blah hair. I have grown out my bangs and just do not know what to do to create a nice hairstyle that doesn’t take hours to fix! Occasionally I will do pig-tails just for something different, but I know I really could do better.

This is a quick round-up of super easy DIY romantic  hair do’s I have pinned on pinterest. Hope you find one that inspires you to try.

Emergency Preparedness:

Do your Research (Become a Prepper)

I’ve been spending quite some time researching all sorts of topics to do with Emergency Preparedness. I want to prepare but I want to be informed as to why and how my family can prepare. I want to be assured I have thought things through and not just jumped onto the bandwagon. I have joined a local group of families that are learning about Emergency Preparedness and Homesteading skills. I have volunteered to teach about 72 Hr. Kits or Bug Out Bags as you may have heard them called!

Homeschooled Through High School:

Kerry Jones from

Let’s Homeschool High School

Those of us who homeschool or who have been homeschooled through high school know that IT IS VERY Possible.  But how? Many parents and students look towards high school with fear and trepidation instead of being joyous as to how far into the journey they have come. I realize that families homeschool for a multitude of reasons and that each family is unique, but questions still arise when the words high school are mentioned!

Kerry Jones from Let's Homeschool High School

This week I would like to welcome Kerry Jones from Let’s Homeschool High School.

Let's Homeschool Highschool Kerry JonesI’ve been homeschooling for almost 14 years. And no, not in dog years. Which means I’ve been around the home education block a time or two. But the biggest challenge for me today is STILL the same challenge I faced in the beginning – – finding a community of other families to network with and share information with.  Granted, homeschooling has exploded in popularity in the last decade, but sometimes I still have difficulty connecting with families in similar situations or stages to our own.

10 Valentine’s Tot Trays

Why is it when holiday’s seem close together that it is hard to transition from one to the other? In January I thought about Valentine’s activities, but have not gotten them all out till last week or printed until today! I did spend an entire afternoon searching our back porch for my Valentine’s stuff, with the help of my sister, to find them sitting on a high shelf!

Lil’ Red has been enjoying these trays. Some he will do over and over. Other’s he will appease me with a one time completion. Today Princess was home and helping engage him. When he got done with a few he shouted, ” Yah, I won the game. I did it!” Made me smile and so glad that he did his schoolwork without complaining or difficulty! Time to up his trays I think to more difficult/preschool learning.

Yes, Spiderman did make an appearance last week during Tot School!
