Children’s Books About Christmas Songs

November 14, 2016 By Thaleia 2 Comments

Growing up I remember hearing and sing a lot of Christmas Carols and silly Christmas songs some of which my children do not know. One of the ways I share new things with our children is through a good book. While my children do not always remember the exact words to songs I figured sharing a book with a Christmas song as the main story would help them remember. Can you really remember all the words to “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” for example? I know I certainly cannot. I also forget many of the verses of more common Christmas Songs since we only sing them for one month a year.

With three boys and a girl I have discovered that all of our kids love adventure! Whether it be a family vacation, visiting grandma’s house or participating in a homeschool class or event they all find something fun to do in every activity. Keeping up with everyone’s interests and favorite toys, games, and music can be daunting that is why I created a post about gifts for kids who love adventure. I know that I cannot possibly be the only one who has to find creative gifts for adventure loving kids!

Young Girls Holiday Gift Guide

November 9, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Since I have 3 nieces younger than Princess I thought a Young Girls Holiday gift guide might be fun to put together. This post is where I will be adding fun new gifts that I find that would be good for girls ages 5-10!

diy_562060-1_lil-lockitz-memory-studio_backangle

The first item that I have found is the Lil’ Lockitz Design Studio. This set lets the young designer create something truly personal, for herrself or a friend. She can create a wearable jewelry that tells a story, with gems, backgrounds and charms of her favorite things.

Makes 10 reusable Lockitz. Wear them as a necklace, bracelet or use the keychain clasps to make clip-ons!

Includes Design Studio with storage compartments, lights and music, Display Stand, Locket Tops and Backs, Necklaces, Bracelets, Keychain Clasps, Custom Charms, Backgrounds, Tweezers, Photo Stencil and Instructions.

3 AA Batteries required, batteries not included.

Recommended for children 5 years of age and older.

November 3, 2016 By Thaleia 3 Comments

There are so many things to do and plan when you take a vacation and have a child with Type 1 Diabetes! We are already making sure that all children have their favorite bedtime snacks like popcorn. Then we try to pack some basic medications and essential oils to make our trip run smoother. Then you have to pack for the child with Type 1 Diabetes.
