Drury Inn Convention Center Columbus, OH #EXPCOLS

It’s been almost two years since we last stayed in Columbus and we have never stayed near or at the Convention Center! We were able to book our stay at the Drury Inn Convention Center location without any problems over the phone. This hotel stay allowed us to enjoy a visit to COSI and participation in an event at Macy’s Easton Towne Center!

We have heard good things about Drury Inn from their free breakfast to the incredible Kickback® from 5:30pm -7:00pm each evening, but it was time to check it out for ourselves! The kids of course were excited about the pool. Mom and Dad were excited about all the food including the popcorn that is served from 3pm to 10 pm-score! I didn’t even have to remember to pack bags of microwave popcorn for our bedtime snack.

Looking for some fun Pokemon Lunch Boxes? I have found some of the coolest ones that Amazon has to offer. If you have Prime shipping then you can order most of these and have them in time for the first day back to school! My kids love playing Pokemon Go whenever they get a chance.

I know that when my kids need new lunch boxes that they would love the chance to pick one of these Pokemon lunch boxes.

It’s a great time to learn about the Olympic Games by doing some hands-on Olympic themed crafts and activities for kids! My children have not seen or heard of most of the sports that are in the Summer Olympics so we are taking some time to learn about them!

Type 1 Diabetes and 504 Plan

Does your child have a 504 Plan? I read everyday on Type 1 Diabetes Facebook Support Groups how parents do not have one in place and all the heartache and troubles that are caused by uneducated school staff. Many parents who do have a 504 Plan in place offer the best advice. Their advice is to have a 504 Plan in place BEFORE you have trouble with your child’s school whether it be a teacher, staff, or student.
