Kids Academy Creates Preschool Education Center Educational App

October 10, 2015 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This blog has partnered with Mom Muzz Media to announce this exciting information!

Kids Academy Releases Preschool Education Center
for iOS and Android!

I love learning apps and being able to provide my children with a free education app is even better! I was just provided the information to review this app and I jumped at the chance to do so. This app has some parts that are free and unlocked or you can check it out for a 7 day free trial or you can pay the monthly fee to have the entire app all the time.

I love the bright colorful animations offered by this app and the ease of use for little ones like my 2 year old. The only thing I noticed that seemed odd to me was that the volume seemed to auto adjust each time my son’s would go into the app.

FaithLeaps: The Christian Mom’s Guide to Starting a Virtual Assistant Business

October 7, 2015 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This post is a conversation on behalf of Alyssa Avant Christian author and business woman. I received a free copy of this book for review but all opinions are my own.

I am a work at home mom of  four kids kinda by accident. Just over three years ago I decided I needed to start a blog to share all the frugal ideas and free resources that I had been sharing on yahoo groups and various message boards. I talked with my husband and he said go for it. What do you have to lose? Neither of us knew anything about WordPress, hosting, or linky parties. I hadn’t even joined Twitter at that point. You see I am not a bandwagon kinda gal. I am the wait and see kinda gal.

Why I think Faith Leaps is worth reading

[Tweet “It truly is a Faith Leap when you start a new endeavor or when you follow your calling in life no matter what the age.”]

Flash forward to Fall 2015 and hubby announces he is resigning from him job cause he needs to take a break and get healthy. At this point I had planned on trying to bring him home from his full-time job by Summer 2016 when his contract was up for renewal or maybe even Christmas 2015 but not SEPTEMBER!! I was excited and panicked at the same time. I was already making some money via social media shares, linky party service, and sponsored posts but NOT full-time. I realized I needed to up my game to pay the bills. I was just able to transfer enough from my Paypal account to cover the cost of utilities-PRAISE THE LORD!

Easy Cheesy Broccoli Chicken Casserole

September 17, 2015 By Thaleia 1 Comment

Getting dinner on the table can be one of the most stressful times of day. If you are like us and have small children and work at home the day can be mostly over before you know it! That’s where a yummy recipe like this easy cheesy broccoli chicken casserole is a great find. Cooking your own meals from scratch will save you tons of money by not going through the drive-thru or ordering take-out!

easy cheesy chicken broccoli casserole
This chicken casserole is super easy and quick but nutritious. Both Princess and Eldest could make this with very little instruction. The hardest part of this recipe is cooking the rice!

Punderson Manor Lodge and Cabins

September 16, 2015 By Princess Leave a Comment

Located about 30 minutes or so from Cleveland is a huge state park called Punderson State Park. It’s nestled into the Ohio countryside between Newberry and Burton off Rt. 87.

Punderson Manor Lodge and Cabins

One thing I have learned from this trip is to research, ask questions, and then double check the facts. I had called the main desk at Punderson Lodge and thought that there was a laundry service on the premises to find out that it was closer to 7 miles down the road in Burton. Also remember that places like this are for those wanting to relax so some things like meal service runs on a leisurely time schedule. Do not wait until you or your kids are really hungry to place a meal order otherwise you might have an unpleasant mealtime on your hands.

What’s this about a #BlogStaycation?

September 10, 2015 By Thaleia 5 Comments

You may know how much I hate to spend money! Even on very worthwhile things like blog conferences where I might grow and learn. I think they are frivolous and somewhat overwhelming! I have four children that would need care while I was away. Meals to prep, activities to plan, and then the cost of attending the event can be daunting. That’s why I jumped at the chance to participate in the #BlogStaycation!

What's this about a #BlogStaycation?

Funny thing is I had talked about a blogger retreat with another blogger who had attended many conferences. She confirmed that the time and cost to attend didn’t really allow for actual growth and action on the blog. See you spend all that time picking out clothes, ordering business cards, planning meals, scheduling flights and hotel accommodations. Valuable time if you ask me that could be spent on keyword searches, photo editing, post writing, and social media shares!
