Kids Academy Creates Preschool Education Center Educational App

October 10, 2015 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This blog has partnered with Mom Muzz Media to announce this exciting information!

Kids Academy Releases Preschool Education Center
for iOS and Android!

I love learning apps and being able to provide my children with a free education app is even better! I was just provided the information to review this app and I jumped at the chance to do so. This app has some parts that are free and unlocked or you can check it out for a 7 day free trial or you can pay the monthly fee to have the entire app all the time.

I love the bright colorful animations offered by this app and the ease of use for little ones like my 2 year old. The only thing I noticed that seemed odd to me was that the volume seemed to auto adjust each time my son’s would go into the app.

FaithLeaps: The Christian Mom’s Guide to Starting a Virtual Assistant Business

October 7, 2015 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This post is a conversation on behalf of Alyssa Avant Christian author and business woman. I received a free copy of this book for review but all opinions are my own.

I am a work at home mom of  four kids kinda by accident. Just over three years ago I decided I needed to start a blog to share all the frugal ideas and free resources that I had been sharing on yahoo groups and various message boards. I talked with my husband and he said go for it. What do you have to lose? Neither of us knew anything about WordPress, hosting, or linky parties. I hadn’t even joined Twitter at that point. You see I am not a bandwagon kinda gal. I am the wait and see kinda gal.

Why I think Faith Leaps is worth reading

[Tweet “It truly is a Faith Leap when you start a new endeavor or when you follow your calling in life no matter what the age.”]

Flash forward to Fall 2015 and hubby announces he is resigning from him job cause he needs to take a break and get healthy. At this point I had planned on trying to bring him home from his full-time job by Summer 2016 when his contract was up for renewal or maybe even Christmas 2015 but not SEPTEMBER!! I was excited and panicked at the same time. I was already making some money via social media shares, linky party service, and sponsored posts but NOT full-time. I realized I needed to up my game to pay the bills. I was just able to transfer enough from my Paypal account to cover the cost of utilities-PRAISE THE LORD!

Punderson Manor Lodge and Cabins

September 16, 2015 By Princess Leave a Comment

Located about 30 minutes or so from Cleveland is a huge state park called Punderson State Park. It’s nestled into the Ohio countryside between Newberry and Burton off Rt. 87.

Punderson Manor Lodge and Cabins

One thing I have learned from this trip is to research, ask questions, and then double check the facts. I had called the main desk at Punderson Lodge and thought that there was a laundry service on the premises to find out that it was closer to 7 miles down the road in Burton. Also remember that places like this are for those wanting to relax so some things like meal service runs on a leisurely time schedule. Do not wait until you or your kids are really hungry to place a meal order otherwise you might have an unpleasant mealtime on your hands.

5 Reasons to Own a Renaisance Queen Costume

September 4, 2015 By Thaleia 1 Comment

We were provided this Renaissance Queen Costume from Costume Super Center in exchange for our honest review and promotion.

I realize that not every girl is a diva or girly girl but I bet one of these 5 reasons will still resonate with you as to why you should buy a Renaissance Queen costume for a girl in your life!.

  1. Themed Birthday Party

We don’t limit our birthday parties to just cake and punch. I usually have my children pick out a theme right after their birthday for next year in order to have plenty of planning time. Since each of their birthdays fall at different times of year it means that I get to shop various holiday and seasonal clearance sales.

2. Homeschool Unit Study

There are a lot of homeschool groups that do historical presentations or dramas where having a store-bought Renaissance Queen costume would come in handy. There are tons of free resources to learn about knights, kings, and castles online but you can check out some of my favorite ones via my History and Geography pinterest board.

Visit Something2Offer’s Pinterest Board.

3. Comic Con costume

Since we are video game players and comic lovers we like to attend Comic Con. This year some of us wanted to have simpler costumes while other’s (hubby and Eldest) are making things for their costumes. You can never go wrong dressing like a princess or queen if you are a tween girl!

4. Renaissance Festival

This year we were given tickets to attend and review our local Renaissance Festival so this costume will come in handy when we attend. Again you don’t have to be in costume but it will make attending the festival that much more fun.

5. Dress up

While it’s the most obvious it might also be the most overlooked. I firmly believe that children should be children and be allowed to dress up. I love seeing my children’s eye light up as they dawn a costume and take on the persona of a character from long ago and far away.

A little bit about this costume that Princess is wearing. She was very excited when it came in the mail for review. She opened the package and tried it on right away. Then I heard her say, “Mom, one of my gems fell off,” in a very disappointed voice. She was super sad but I told her that her dad could repair it with a bit of gorilla glue when he got home. He did and now the gem has stayed on the Velcro as it should. We followed the sizing guide on the website in order to choose a costume the correct size. Princess is 11 years old and typically wears a size 12 slim jean but for this costume she ordered a size 8-10. They seem to run a bit big but if your child plans to wear a thick pair of sweats underneath to keep warm then buy the “normal” size your child wears. Overall I am pretty satisfied with the costume and may be looking at a few other costumes for my boys in the future.

Reebok Deal

August 26, 2015 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

This post is part of a conversation on behalf of Reebok and includes my affiliate links.

Who is ready for some new kicks? Check out the four new designs from Reebok?

Reebok has done an impressive job with their FuryLite shoes. Descended from the iconic Reebok Insta Pump Fury, this fashion-forward sneaker combines cutting-edge architectural elements and sleek design. The synthetic mesh upper offers breathable, lightweight, full-foot comfort and the low-cut design makes for quicker foot transitions and ankle freedom. And I love the 3D Ultralite outsole. It creates a cloud-like feel with each strike of the pavement.

Be sure to use the below link to take you to the correct shoes in order to take advantage of this awesome Reebok Deal!
