Ways to Prepare Your Car for Spring Break

March 15, 2018 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Spring Break will be here before you know it and being ready is key! Even if you are not planning a road trip out-of-town there are plenty of reasons to prepare your car for Spring Break! We are uber frugal and spend many days adventuring around our town or county for more of a stay-cation type of vacation most years. This year we are planning to head out-of-town to Gatlinburg which is super exciting in itself.

This post is sponsored by BODYARMOR as a part of the Mom It Forward Influencer Network. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

One thing that we enjoy doing each year as a family is to plan field trips and vacations. Since we all love learning about new things and we each have a sense of adventure this works well for our family.

Cabins of the Smoky Mountains Gatlinburg, TN

November 14, 2017 By Thaleia 3 Comments

We have been wanting to visit Gatlinburg for many years now since our children have never been to Tennessee and my husband and I haven’t been there since before we had children. We were finally able to make this a reality a few weeks ago and want to share our experience staying in the Remember When cabin which is part of Venture Resorts and Cabins of the Smoky Mountains.

I received the email confirming our stay and shared the details with our teens who promptly got on the computer to look up what the cabin had to offer. They loved the 3D virtual tour, and were so excited about all the features and amenities that they could hardly contain themselves! This made all the hard work as a blogger worth it to hear how excited they were and how quickly they began to pack for our trip.

Englewood Metropark Nature Play Area (Englewood, Ohio)

October 9, 2017 By Thaleia 1 Comment

Nature Play areas seem to be popping up all over the country but the first one that our family enjoyed was installed by Five Rivers Metroparks in their Englewood Metropark. Again we found out about this awesome play area from another homeschool family. This post is part of our Best Nature Centers, Nature Play Areas and Hiking Trails in the Miami Valley blog series. We hope to add many local parks so that more families will be able to go out and enjoy them!

Since we live over 25 minutes away we do not visit as often as we would like but we always enjoy what time we do spend in the woods at Englewood Metropark Nature Play Area.

5 Things We Never Travel Without

September 25, 2017 By Thaleia 2 Comments

This post was sponsored by Nabisco as part of an Integrated Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Do you spend a lot of time in your vehicle? Maybe you head out on field trips frequently or have lots of therapy appointments for your children. Your family might just enjoy spending some time on the open road and you could use some sanity saving tips like these 5 Things We Never Travel Without. Maybe your family is like ours and needs snacks, tech, and comfortable clothes to make it through the day OR maybe your family is more relaxed and travel on the fly. Either way I am sure you can relate to needing somethings in your vehicle to make your travel go more smoothly.
