Loving Nature All Summer Long #FreeToBe

June 8, 2015 By Thaleia

Thanks to all free clear for sponsoring my post and inspiring me to try all free clear! Now I’m #FreeToBe loving nature all Summer long. I am the first to admit my love of nature. I am on a mission to encourage each of my children to enjoy nature in their own ways as well.

Loving Nature All Summer Long

I took Big Red and Lil’ Red outside the other day with the purpose of hunting bugs! Yes, I was the first one to dig into the plants growing outside our flower bed to find ants, roly poly bugs, and crickets. My little guys loved using a new magnifying glass that we had recently purchased….

Swimsuit Buying for Your Body Type

May 21, 2015 By Thaleia

This post contains affiliate links, and I will be compensated if you make a purchase from ModCloth after clicking on my links.

Okay, I can hear you groaning about the tedious task of finding a fashionable swimsuit that is reasonably priced and comfortable. I am sharing an infographic that ModCloth has put together to help you in your swimsuit search. Remember that swimsuit buying for your body type will not only make your life easier it will make you love the suit you choose!

It’s a pool party over at ModCloth, and you’re invited! With so many bikinis and one pieces to pick from, you’re bound to find a standout look that suits your style. And while you’re at it, check out ModCloth’s exploration of so-called “ideal” beach bodies in their new Swim-fographic! It’s an intriguing look at how arbitrarily beauty standards have changed over time. Of course, ModCloth knows that every body is a beach body — the only requirements are a beach, your bod, and a swimsuit you can’t wait to flaunt!

Deer Creek Lodge Family Vacation

April 27, 2015 By Thaleia 9 Comments

This year we took our first official vacation as a family with four children. Yes, we survived. Yes, we had fun and had a few unexpected things happen along the way. You can plan all you want for a family vacation and things still happen.

Fun at Deer Creek Lodge

Princess got sick on the way to Deer Creek Lodge. We had some things to pick up along the way and spent an extra hour in the car after getting breakfast at McDonald’s and stopping at Walmart. The route we choose to go to Deer Creek was a lot more hilly and curvy then we expected. Car sickness usually isn’t a problem but the van we were driving was having trouble with air circulation.

I will be teaching her how to use a flat iron hair straightener to achieve a variety of hairstyles more easily.

We will be using a Gurin Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron to see if we can straighten Princess’ super curly hair. I started out by plugging the flat iron in and turning it on to low. While the flat iron heated up Princess brushed through her hair.

Here are our tips for using a flat iron:
