Kid Made Watercolor Cookie Cutter Christmas Card

November 30, 2016 By Thaleia 4 Comments

With Thanksgiving being celebrated last week it’s time to get into gear with our plans for Christmas learning and gift making. Since we have four kids it can be really fun to see the variety of kid made Christmas cards and gifts that they can come up with. Today we are sharing a simple Christmas card made by  Big Red using watercolor and cookie cutters. The boys have been in a watercolor painting kick so why not create cute Christmas cards from their artwork!

Children’s Books About Christmas Songs

November 14, 2016 By Thaleia 2 Comments

Growing up I remember hearing and sing a lot of Christmas Carols and silly Christmas songs some of which my children do not know. One of the ways I share new things with our children is through a good book. While my children do not always remember the exact words to songs I figured sharing a book with a Christmas song as the main story would help them remember. Can you really remember all the words to “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” for example? I know I certainly cannot. I also forget many of the verses of more common Christmas Songs since we only sing them for one month a year.

Tween Girls Christmas Gifts Wishlist

October 28, 2016 By Thaleia Leave a Comment

Since this is the last year for Princess to be a tween I thought it would be a great idea for her to help create a tween girls Christmas gifts wishlist. It is very hard to buy for tweens since they are no longer “little kids” but not quite a teen either.

This play date was sponsored by Bright Starts “League of Little Laughers” regardless all opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this post but was provided the toys featured in this post. I have used affiliate links within the post so you can easily shop for these same toys for your little laugher!

Learn & Giggle Activity Station offers a variety of interactive learning at not too loud volume. This is a big deal with our family of four children in a small house. It’s very easy to assemble with four legs that pop right in. Our 2 year old has interacted with this toy the most over the last few weeks since we received it. He keeps coming back to it each day. What’s even better is the older siblings that liked playing with it.
